Ariana Grande Teases 2024 Will See the Release of a New Album

The first positive development of 2024 is the release of a new Ariana Grande album.

On Wednesday, December 27, the pop singer teased fans on Instagram with a post that said, “See you next year.”

The first image was a collage of Polaroids that the 30-year-old Grande shared with her record label, Republic Records, and producers Ilya Salmanzadeh

(who has worked with Grande on songs like “Breathin” and “Problem”) and Christian Breslauer (who has directed music videos for SZA and Doja Cat).

Along with a picture of Grande sobbing, a video of Grande’s mother Joan dancing, and a possible location for a music video were also posted.

The last slide featured a video of Grande cuddling up under a blanket while joking about “how tired she is” and expressing gratitude and happiness. Moreover, I feel as though I weigh 3,000 tons.

“The two moods of the album” was the caption Grande used when she posted the image to her Instagram Stories.

The pop star also sent fans care packages in red metallic envelopes, which contained a handwritten card that said, “See you next year,” a photo of her red lips, and a red R.E.M. lipstick from her beauty line. She shared multiple images from fans who received the package on her Instagram Story.

Grande’s schedule for the upcoming year is already quite full; she will be playing the role of Galinda in Jon M. Chu’s film adaptation of the Wicked musical, which opens in theaters in November 2024. Bowen Yang, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba are among the cast members of the movie.

Grande’s personal life is also expected to start over in the new year. After they split up earlier in the year, her divorce from ex-husband Dalton Gomez was finalized in October. January 2020 saw Grande start dating Gomez, and May 2021 saw their wedding.

Grande has been dating Ethan Slater, her co-star in Wicked, since their breakup. She has seen him perform in Spamalot on Broadway, and they have been pictured together, even though neither of them has publicly acknowledged their relationship.

This year, Grande also ended her relationship with her longtime manager, Scooter Braun. Early this month, Variety revealed that Grande had signed with Good World Management and Brandon Creed. She comes into the lineup alongside Troye Sivan, Charli XCX, and Demi Lovato.

Positions, Grande’s most recent album, was made available in October 2020. The singles “Positions” and “34+35” were among them. Grande received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album and her fifth No. 1 album overall with the album, her sixth overall.
